Hiroshi has helped me and my career as an artist more than anyone else. He was my advanced drawing teacher while I had my "lost-year" at Trenton State College in New Jersey. I believe my only reason for going there was to meet him. He and his wife Nancy are successful painters and sculptors in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was Hiroshi's studio assistant on many of his major public installations in New York, New Jersey and Japan. He has always been a great supporter of my work and efforts. He and Nancy's financial backing had helped me finish my BFA in the 90s, and is currently the only reason I am able to even THINK about striving for my MFA! It's hard not to thank him everytime I see him. His site and work are   here.
