Jake and Jennies, early morning risers, acrylic on canvas by Paul Zdepski
This is a typical late summer's morning in the Piedmont of Virginia. The fog hangs to the hills like a damp blanket, coloring everything a cool blue. The mules are always looking for a handout. These guys don’t work, so they always equate humans with something to eat. Ears up, and nostrils flaring. This piece is the final of a group of mule studies, but the first series in my venture from oils into acrylics. I like properties of both mediums, but still prefer oil painting.
