Ambassador to Panama William Eaton and Paul Zdepski at the Ambassador's Residence in 2006

Art in Embassies - US State Department - Panama

February 2006

Invited to lecture at Ganexa Undiversidad and the residence of US Ambassador William Eaton in Panama City, Panama. 

Lectures consisted of artistic processes to achieve desired effects with oil paint. Questions arose about the unique problem of traditional painting methods within a tropical climate, dealing with high humidity, heat, and molds. Friends of the Ambassador purchased Zdepski's painting "Thomas Jefferson" as a gift for his service. Ambassador Eaton hangs the piece at home in the Hague.
